RFID Solutions For A Future

Do we ever feel annoyed because there is a long queue when it will make payments on a hypermarkets such as Carrefour or Hypermart? Long queues caused by the many customers who make purchases with a rather large number of items so the cashier takes the time to scan the barcode or doing it manually input for each item.

Do we ever feel annoyed because there is a long queue when it will make a payment at toll gates? Queue caused by the large number of vehicles and the time required to provide any refund of the toll money paid by the users of the highway.

At times like this we always wished, if the supermarket is each person only needs to push trolleynya directly to the checkout and make payment for goods bought without having to scan in each item or at the toll gate we do not have to stop to pay but we just walk alone and there will be bill at the end of the month on toll road usage fees. All this is not a dream anymore but will soon become a reality with a technology called RFID (Radio Frequency Identification). Every product in the supermarket / hypermarket will be installed RFID tags that will emit signals via radio waves. There are several ways the application of RFID in a supermarket / hypermarket, the first being on each trolley will be placed card readers and RFID scanners so that each item placed on the return or even be detected by RFID scanners. When finished shopping, the memory card in card reader submitted to the cashier and grocery list will be automatically listed in the computer cash register and the nominal money to be paid for all those groceries. While the second way is the trolley just past the detector located on the counter that will automatically scan the RFID tags and the signals will display a list of nominal spending and money should pay at the cashier's computer.

The use of RFID is increasingly widespread, not only limited to the examples above but can function for tracking (either goods or people) as found in some hospitals as well as one digital identity in which RFID tags are used to replace the existing ID card function at this time.

With the price of RFID tags are getting cheaper, which is about a thousand dollars now and will further drop the price because it is increasingly common and become a mass commodity, the technology will be absorbed by the market and soon made its application in mass as well. Japan, China, Singapore, America and some European countries are countries that have made the application of RFID in sufficient mass, perhaps in a few moments Indonesia will soon overtake those countries for implementation of RFID.
